Piper's Stats

We had Piper's 2 month check-up this week.

She was such a trooper!

Her current stats are:
Weight: 11 lbs. 9 oz.
Length: 23 in.
Head: 38.5 cm.

Her length and height are right on target with Annika, but she weighs about 12 oz. less (which goes along with her birthweight).

She got 3 shots in the legs and a yummy vaccine (they really do love that stuff - why can't they all be like that). And I did really well too. The hardest part is that "silent" scream during the shots where her mouth is open, her face is red, but there is no sound for a few seconds - it is heart wrenching. Anyway, she was a little fussy that evening and got a bit of fever, but is back on track now.

Overall, she is a very healthy little girl and the doctor has no concerns. As always, she recommended that we keep up with "tummy time" to strengthen her back and neck. It's funny though; due to some reflux issues, she LOVES sleeping her her tummy and she actually fell asleep during our "workout" the other day:

The smiles are out of control - when she wakes up in the morning, when I am trying to feed her, when you tickle her neck/cheeks - yet, I am still unable to get a good picture/video. I spend a few minutes enjoying the moment before I remember to pick up the camera. But I have a funny feeling there will be a lot more and I will get my chance to share them with you soon enough!
